There is a library of data sheets on the majority of semiconductors held in the component stores, An alphabetical list of the main electronic component manufactures is also included.

A collection of help sheets on various software and equipment together with some quick reference manuals for each laboratory is included with a list and picture link to the Manuals. It is intended to expand this collection over a period of time.

The School has only limited workshop facilities, which are for use by designated staff only. Requests for light fabrication (i.e hole drilling, filing and cutting) should be made to the technical staff in your work area.
The Faculty of Engineering and Information Sciences Central Workshop is located in Manufacturing Systems and has extensive machining and fabrication capabilities. All requests for services such as machining and welding will be directed to them.
Before requesting workshop services please consider the following points :-
Requests for mechanical work should be accompanied by appropriate mechanical construction diagrams.
