When using Open CV you may come accross the following errorr message when trying to compile your code.
You will need to edit the environment variables from within the Visual Studio project. There are different paths depending on your project being 32-bit or 64-bit. For 32-bit in Visual Studio 2010 the folder is:

Under 'Project / Properties' from inside the Visual Studio project go to 'Configuration Properties / Debugging'. In the right-hand pane click the drop down arrow at the end of the item called 'Environment' and click '
In the box that pops up enter:
PATH=$(Path);C:\progra~1\OpenCV\build\x64\vc10\bin or PATH=$(Path);C:\progra~1\OpenCV\build\x86\vc10\bin

Apart from the standard set of software, some students sometimes need additional software particular to their project requirements.
Any software required must be approved by your supervisor and you must get the Technical Officer to instal this software for you.
Any software installed will be logged and then displayed here so you can see where any specialist software is installed.
Please bear in mind some students will therefore need to use the computers where this software has been installed.
Please therefore move onto a free computer if they need to use a particular machine.
