Four laboratories are now dedicated to support teaching over all years of the three BSc Multimedia Schemes of Study.
Three of the four laboratories (D410, D401 & D405) are resourced with a wide range of common software
The lab also houses two dedicated sound rooms. One room is a compact sound production/sound recording studio resourced with various tape decks, midi keyboard synthesiser and sound/MIDI editing software.
The PC in the Sound Room is currently running Cubase SX 3 with Halion 3, and Reason 2.5 rewired.
This area is used for the creation and manipulation of audio tracks. The other smaller studio is a dedicated sound creation area. Dolby 5.1 Surround Sound playback is available both in the lab and the recording studio.
If you wish to use the sound room then you should book a time slot with one of the technical staff in D401.
